Three new World of Warcraft expansions form The Worldsoul Saga

Blizzcon recently revealed The Worldsoul Saga, a new narrative for World of Warcraft that will be spread over three novel expansions. The expansions are seen as the culmination of twenty years of storytelling and comprise the tenth, eleventh, and twelfth extensions of the renowned MMO. The first of these, entitled, The War Within, will be released in the course of next year.

The War Within will transport players underground into Azerioth, where they can discover the Nerubians and an Allied race named the Earthen Dwarves. This expansion also allows players to explore new zones and participate in a new treasure hunt called Delves.

Details about the eleventh and twelfth expansions were also divulged. Following The War Within is Midnight, set in the ancient world of Azeroth, Quel'thalas. It involves the Void attempting to obliterate the Sunwell, thereby plunging the world into darkness. The twelfth expansion is called The Last Titan, which occurs in Northrend, known from Wrath of the Lich King. Here, players reveal an intricate plot revolving around the returned titans.

In addition to the announcement, a film for The War Within and a trailer elucidating more about the expansion's features were shown.
