Ark: Survival Ascended, a remake of the original dinosaur-filled survival game "Ark: Survival Evolved," has confirmed an Xbox Series X and S release date. However, its PlayStation 5 release has been delayed again.

Developed by Studio Wildcard using Unreal Engine 5, the game is currently available on Steam, but hasn't yet reached Windows PC or consoles. Following the recent announcement, the Xbox version is set to launch on Xbox Series X, S and Windows PC on November 14, with the latest PC functionalities. It will also offer crossplay with the PC version and add new servers including Xbox-only ones.

The PS5 version is scheduled for release later in November. Studio Wildcard is finalising the exact date with Sony and aims to share it soon. On launch, PlayStation and Xbox will enable cross-platform play with Steam and each platform will introduce its set of official servers for respective game modes. For an initial period, these servers will run boosted rates to help new players catch up, with plans to synchronize the rates by mid-December.

Despite quickly becoming one of Steam's best-selling games upon release, Ark: Survival Ascended faced performance issues leading to a 'mixed' Steam user review rating of 55%. Acknowledging these issues, Studio Wildcard pledged to address player-reported issues and constantly enhance the game with patches, additionally promising major feature additions in the coming weeks.
