At San Diego Comic-Con 2024, Amazon unveiled the first teaser trailer for the live-action adaptation of Sega's "Like a Dragon: Yakuza" series. The trailer showcased Kento Kaku as Nishiki, Kazuma Kiryu's childhood friend, highlighting scenes spanning from 1995 to 2005. The series will delve into Kazuma Kiryu's life and relationships within the Yakuza, exploring themes of justice and duty. Directed by Masaharu Take, the show’s first season, consisting of six episodes, premieres on October 24, with the second half releasing on November 1 on Prime Video. The panel also featured exclusive clips and insights from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's executive producer Masayoshi Yokoyama. This adaptation follows Amazon's announcement in June and promises to be a crime-suspense-action series faithful to the 2005 game.

When does the Like a Dragon: Yakuza live-action series premiere?n
