Trading items in Diablo 4 temporarily disabled due to exploit

Oct 23, 2023 3:40 PM

Trading items in Diablo 4 has been temporarily disabled due to a discovered exploit, as revealed by community manager Rich Bantegui on the official Blizzard forum. This sudden measure was taken following the detection of an exploit that allowed players to duplicate items and gold in the recently launched second season of the game.

Bantegui ensured that actions will be taken against players who attempt to use the exploit for duplicating items and gold, as it violates the stipulated End User License Agreement rules. This is not the first occurrence of such an exploit; in August last year, trading of items had to be put on hold temporarily because of a similar issue.

Diablo 4's second season, titled 'Season of Blood,' started last week, allowing players to join the computer-controlled Eris, a seasoned vampire hunter voiced by Eternals Actress Gemma Chan. Gamers can anticipate five endgame bosses and unlock vampire powers as they complete new missions.

Diablo 4, which earned a score of 9 by Erik Nusselder, has been praised for its improvement in critical areas, the significance it places on the player's choices, and the ability to fully personalize characters. This fourth installment offers a solid foundation that Diablo fans can enjoy for years to come.
