IO Interactive and Feral Interactive have announced the release of "Hitman: Blood Money Reprisal" for Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android platforms. This new version of the popular 2006 game, "Hitman: Blood Money," is set to be launched on mobile devices this fall, with the Nintendo Switch edition expected to follow in the winter.
In "Blood Money Reprisal", players will find novel features such as Instinct Mode, a minimap, and improved gameplay, which have been borrowed from later games in the franchise. The Instinct Mode, first introduced in 2012's "Hitman: Absolution," allows the game's protagonist, Agent 47, to predict the movements of enemies and civilians. The minimap will also be a constant presence on players' screens during gameplay.
The game will offer 12 missions set in diverse settings, taking Agent 47 to places such as Paris and New Orleans to carry out his targeted missions. Each mission provides a sandbox for players to brainstorm novel ways to achieve their objectives.
This game was announced in conjunction with IO Interactive's 25th-anniversary celebrations, which will also see a series of events for "Hitman: World of Assassination" and rerunning of prior Elusive Targets like "Bady Boy" and "The Food Critic".
The original "Hitman: Blood Money" was first released in May 2006, and has seen HD and 4K ports to various PlayStation and Xbox platforms over the years. In our review, we stated that the game features significant changes, enhancements, and additions, making it worth a try. Its level design and AI improvements were particularly highlighted.
