Sony is rolling out a PS5 cloud streaming-beta for PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers. This exciting event allows these subscribers to test more enhanced PlayStation 5 cloud streaming functionality. Those subscribed to the beta report being able to stream games at various resolutions, ranging from 720p all the way up to 2160p(4K). One user claimed they were able to stream God of War: Ragnarok at 2160p without any issues. Sony, however, has not disclosed the regions participating in this beta.

The enhanced cloud streaming isn’t the only PS5 feature Sony is currently testing. In late July 2023, it launched a beta in certain countries for Dolby Atmos, M.2 SSDs with a capacity of up to 8TB, and a second controller.

Sony has also released a list of free PlayStation Plus Essential games for August 2023. In the meantime, gamers are looking forward to learning more about the release of Red Dead Redemption on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
