The seventh season of Adult Swim's popular show, "Rick and Morty", is set to introduce new voice actors for the key characters, Rick and Morty, as unveiled in the recently dropped trailer.
This marks a shift from the series' tradition where one actor, Justin Roiland, lent his voice for both characters.

The need for new voice talents arose following Roiland's removal from the show amid allegations of domestic violence which were subsequently dismissed due to inadequate evidence. Despite the charges being dropped, Adult Swim and Hulu, who had collaborated with Roiland on "Solar Opposites", chose to sever ties. Further controversy surrounded Roiland when 11 individuals accused him of sexual assault.

In a bid to maintain the persona of the characters, Adult Swim sought voice actors with abilities mimicking Roiland's unique vocal range. The identities of the new voice talents will not be disclosed until the premier of season seven, a strategy outlined in a statement by an Adult Swim representative to THR. The representative stressed the intention to let the series "speak for itself", underscoring a confidence in the quality of the upcoming season and the chosen voice actors.

The seventh season of "Rick and Morty" is scheduled to premiere on October 15th.
