"Reddit User Compares 'Old' PlayStation 5 with the New Model"

A Reddit user has designed a 3D model that allows for a direct comparison between the 'old' PlayStation 5 (PS5) and one of the new, smaller models. The 3D render demonstrates the differences between the original model (which includes a disk drive) and the updated version.

This week, Sony revealed two emerging smaller PS5 models. One key element of the new designs is the detachable disk drive, an innovation that led to the updated models. One of these new models comes with the disk drive included, priced at 549.99 euros, while an alternative without a disk drive is available for 449.99 euros.

However, even without a pre-included disk drive, the digital model can have one added to it. A separate drive will cost 119.99 euros in Europe. Additionally, the new models come with a one terabyte solid-state drive (SSD) for storage; a vast improvement on the previous model.

In terms of weight, there is a remarkable difference. The new models are around 18% and 24% lighter than the original PS5. No other specification changes have been reported thus far.
