Nintendo Switch Version of RoboCop Rogue City Cancelled

Oct 20, 2023 5:43 PM

The publisher of the highly anticipated RoboCop: Rogue City has discretely cancelled the Nintendo Switch version of the game. Originally announced in July 2022 along with the PC, Xbox Series X and S, and PlayStation 5 versions, the Switch logo was even featured on the game's trailer revealed last summer. However, a recent post on the RoboCop: Rogue City Facebook page stated that, "At this moment we don't have any plans for a Nintendo Switch release."

This decision by publisher Nacon is somewhat expected given the ambitious nature of Teyon's action-packed shooter. IGN got a firsthand experience with RoboCop: Rogue City at gamescom 2023 and uncovered a mix of unhurried first-person shooting, decision-making, and a touch of detective work - all contributing to the unique feel of the game.

Slated to launch on the PC, PS5, Xbox Series X and S on November 2, RoboCop: Rogue City is highly awaited by the gaming community. Senior UK News Editor for IGN, Wesley Yin-Poole, can be reached on Twitter @wyp100 and emailed confidentially at wyp100@proton.me.
