Yesterday, a new update was released for the video game 'Starfield'. The 1.7.33 patch, as it's called, is the second update since the game's launch and is described by the developers, Bethesda, as a relatively minor one. It resolves performance and stability issues while also fixing several gameplay bugs.

Among the resolved issues were a bug that led to characters not being located at the right places and another that resulted in items placed on mannequins in ships disappearing suddenly. In addition, there was an issue with blurry textures due to upscaling, and the use of the hand scanner could sometimes cause stuttering - these issues have now been addressed. For more detailed information, the full patch notes can be found here.

Bethesda has indicated plans to add many features requested by players in future updates, including support for Nvidia DLSS and ultra-wide monitors, a POV slider, and a button to directly consume food from the environment.

In other news, last week, Starfield reached a milestone of 10 million players. The game was launched on 6 September for Xbox Series X and S, PC and Game Pass. Some players managed to get access to the game five days prior to the official release.

The game was highly rated by Lars Cornelis who described it as "'Skyrim in space'", praising its wide range, detail and diversity. Despite the presence of minor glitches, the pros outweigh the cons, earning the game a typical favorable reputation for a Bethesda game, but this time set in space.
