Mini Story Modes Coming to Vampire Survivors Game

Nov 05, 2023 6:08 AM

Vampire Survivors is set to introduce Adventures in its upcoming free 1.8.0 update. Adventures are described as "self-contained miniature story modes" that allow players to take on "wacky sidequests" while diving deeper into the game's lore. Each Adventure offers its own progression path, ensuring that previous game progression and acquisitions aren't impacted.

In Adventures, players start from scratch tasked with custom challenges and a pre-set arsenal. Each chapter holds different objectives, with rewards including lore-enhancing text. While progress from the main game doesn't transfer over, players can keep their already-unlocked Relics and game modes. Only a "cache of Coins" and potentially a new Relic is brought back into the main game upon completion of an Adventure.

No solid release date for Adventures has been announced, but it has been confirmed that two Adventures will stem from the base game, with an additional Adventure linked to The Legacy of Moonspell DLC. Access to DLC-linked Adventures will be granted to players owning the corresponding DLC. These Adventures will typically be one to two hours in length, with completion granting an Ascension point beneficial for various player stats.

Access to Adventures requires possession of the Atlas Gate relic from the main game, and to unlock the DLC Adventure players need to unlock the Dairy Plant. Developer poncle assures that the volume of vampires in Adventures will match, if not exceed, the quantity found in the main game.
