Metal Gear Solid collection rolls out brand new patch - Sneak Peek at the Ultimate Stealth Update
Nov 16, 2023 8:00 AMThe popular gaming franchise Metal Gear Solid has released a new patch for their Master Collection Vol. 1, improving stability and fixing crashes, particularly for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 versions. The patch, known as version 1.3.0, addresses several issues, although Konami acknowledges that some problems remain unresolved, such as trophy unlocking glitches and abrupt cuts in cutscenes.
This comprehensive collection, which launched last month for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC, comprises Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, along with the MSX versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, and the NES titles Metal Gear and Snake's Revenge: Metal Gear 2.
Aside from this patch update, Konami is also working with Virtuos on a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 for next-gen consoles and PC, though no release date has been set. For gamers and dedicated Metal Gear Solid fans, this collection and forthcoming remake provide a rich dive into the series’ storied past with enhanced gameplay experiences.

The balance between polishing this anthology and gearing up for the MGS3 remake really shows their commitment to keeping the legacy of Snake alive and well for both veterans and newcomers.
