The publishing director at Larian, Michael Douse, stated that the company knows the release date when they are confident about the final version and are still working towards the release this year. Baldur's Gate 3, previously released for PC and PlayStation 5, faced issues with splitscreen multiplayer on the Xbox Series S and might be added in an update following the release.
