Nintendo has revealed a glimpse into the long-awaited Switch version of the Harry Potter spin-off, Hogwarts Legacy, expected to launch on November 14. The first look, shared on Nintendo's website, showcased six screenshots of the game running on the Switch hardware. Players can anticipate engaging in magical lessons within Hogwarts' classrooms, venturing by the Black Lake, and encountering the game's villains and monsters.

The game's release on the Switch has been notably delayed. Hogwarts Legacy was announced for the Switch in March 2022. However, while the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S versions experienced minor setbacks, the Switch version is launching almost a year late. After initially being set to launch in July 2023, it has been rescheduled to the current November date. Despite the delays, Hogwarts Legacy became 2023's best-selling game, selling 15 million copies and generating $1 billion for Warner Bros. Discovery.

However, the game's success has been marred by controversy due to its association with J.K. Rowling, the creator, who has been criticized for her anti-transgender views. Nonetheless, the game received positive reviews, earning a 9/10 from IGN, which proclaimed, "In almost every way, Hogwarts Legacy is the Harry Potter RPG [we've] always wanted to play."
