Gamers eagerly anticipating "Hogwarts Legacy" on the Nintendo Switch can now catch a glimpse of the magic in action, thanks to the newly released "The Magic Awaits" trailer. This marks the game's first official Switch gameplay footage, dropped just ahead of the slated November 14 launch date. The trailer offers over two minutes of scenes including the player receiving their wand and engaging in their initial magical lessons, also showcasing various adversaries and creatures from the game.
Until now, only six official screenshots had been shared, depicting various in-game scenes such as magic classes and the Black Lake. Despite this, leaked gameplay surfaced online around November 7, when an early copy of the game was prematurely distributed. "Hogwarts Legacy" was initially announced for the Switch back in March 2022, but has faced a significant delay compared to its counterparts on more powerful consoles, pushing its release from July to November 2023.
Despite controversies surrounding J.K. Rowling's public statements, "Hogwarts Legacy" achieved significant commercial success, claiming the title of best-selling game in February and the most sold game of the year by May, with 15 million copies and revenue crossing $1 billion. Reviews have generally been positive, with the Harry Potter RPG fulfilling the long-held wishes of fans around the world.
