Alan Hartman, previously the head of Turn 10 Studios known for developing the Forza Motorsport series, has been appointed as the new head of Xbox Game Studios. He succeeds Matt Booty, who was promoted to oversee game content and studios, which includes managing both Xbox studios and ZeniMax, the parent company of Bethesda Game Studios.
Hartman joined Turn 10 in 2005 and served as vice president of Forza and Fable for the last two years. He expressed his excitement to lead such a distinguished group of game creators in his new role at Xbox Game Studios, as stated in his LinkedIn announcement. The position will have Hartman responsible for overseeing the development and strategic direction for Xbox's first-party game titles.
