CD Projekt is looking into the possibility of including multiplayer in the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, currently in conceptual development and with the working title "Orion." The company plans to have around 80 people working on it by the end of the year. Meanwhile, the original Cyberpunk 2077 received its last significant update as the studio shifts its focus to Orion.
The sequel could potentially exhibit more elaborate branching storylines, aspecting the player's starting life path much like its predecessor which featured Street Kid, Corpo, and Nomad life paths. Major gameplay decisions, including perspective choice, remain undetermined.
CD Projekt is also progressing on the next Witcher game, known as "Polaris," aiming to recruit around 400 staff members by mid-2024. Analysts forecast a launch by 2026 or 2027. Additionally, CD Projekt has expressed interest in utilizing AI to enhance game development processes.
