"Diablo 4 is available for free play on PC all this weekend"

Diablo 4 will be available for free play on PC this weekend through Blizzard's platform, Battle.net. This news was announced by Blizzard on social media. Players can download the free version and play up to level 20. After reaching this level, players have the option to purchase the game and continue from where they left off, with last weekend seeing a 10-hour free play period on Xbox consoles.

The second season of Diablo 4, dubbed "Season of Blood", began last week. In this season, players team up with AI-controlled Eris, a seasoned vampire hunter voiced by actress Gemma Chan from Eternals. Players can expect five endgame bosses and unlock vampire powers while completing new missions.

The game received positive reviews, earning a 9 out of 10 from Erik Nusselder who praised its improvements, importance on player choices, and character customization. Nusselder described it as "an excellent foundation that Diablo fans will enjoy for years".

Earlier this week, potential information about a first extension for Diablo 4 leaked. The extension is possibly named "Lord of Hatred" and is set in the Kurast region from Diablo 2. However, this is not yet officially confirmed.
