CD Projekt has unveiled the global release schedule for the much-anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 expansion, Phantom Liberty, for PC and console. This expansion, following the transformative Update 2.0 from the previous week, is set for launch at 1am CEST on September 26 on PC, and midnight local time on Xbox Series X, S and PlayStation 5. Pre-loading on console is currently operational.

The release timing for Phantom Liberty varies slightly based on the region and gaming platform (PC or console). Some specific examples include Los Angeles where the PC release occurs on September 25 at 4pm PDT, Mexico City at 5pm CST on the same date and New York at 7pm EDT. The console version in all these cities will release at midnight local time on September 26. Other global timings are differentiated on the same basis.

Phantom Liberty, representing the sole significant DLC for Cyberpunk 2077, features actor Idris Elba in the role of Solomon Reed, an experienced agent from the New United States of America who aids the player on a special mission. Its launch forms the culmination of a drastic enhancement in CD Projekt Red's futuristic RPG, commenced with the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime spinoff and advanced by the Update 2.0. The expansion has received an impressive review score of 9/10 from IGN.

Following the release of Phantom Liberty, CD Projekt will focus on development projects that include Witcher 4, a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, and several other undertakings.
