CoD: Modern Warfare 3 size increase due to more content
Nov 03, 2023 11:30 AMThe increased file size of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, compared to previous editions, is due to an increase in content, according to Activision Blizzard. Speculations and concerns emerged among players following the release of the Early Access version of the game, with reports stating that PlayStation 5 users would lose nearly 235 GB of disk space, partially because Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 also needs to be downloaded and acts as a central hub for both games.
Activision Blizzard responded to these player complaints on social media. They explained that this was due to the significant increase in content available from day one, including an open-world Zombies mode, items from MW2 that could be carried over, and size of the maps in Call of Duty: Warzone. Furthermore, the company stressed that, players could manage the files related to Call of Duty games in the COD HQ launch menu, potentially removing content of no interest.
Those who pre-ordered the game can play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's campaign since yesterday. The full game will be available for all on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and on pc, starting November 10. A launch trailer for the campaign of the game can also be viewed.
