Sony Interactive Entertainment has acquired the British company iSize, according to a recent press release. The sale price is undisclosed. iSize, founded in 2016, is known for utilizing AI in combination with streaming. Their technology reduces the amount of data needed to stream video images, potentially including game images. It also enhances the quality of streamed images using AI. "This acquisition brings Sony significant expertise in machine learning for video processing, which will greatly benefit our research phases and our video and streaming services," says Michel Musters, part of the Gamer.nl editorial team since 2007.
