Apple has unveiled its new AI system, Apple Intelligence, set to roll out with iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia. Revealed at WWDC 2024, Apple Intelligence brings advanced writing tools like proofreading and summarizing to apps such as Notes and Mail. It introduces Priority Messages and Notifications for iMessage and Apple Mail, ordering notifications by importance and summarizing them. The Notes and Phone apps will now support recording, transcribing, and summarizing audio. New generative AI features, Image Playground and Genmoji, allow users to create images and custom emojis based on text descriptions. The Photos app will benefit from improved search functionality and a Clean Up tool to remove distracting objects from images. Siri will see significant upgrades, including more natural interactions and a new, discreet UI. Users can also text Siri to perform tasks, enhancing convenience in noisy or private environments.
