The new season of Fortnite has proven to be a massive success, garnering 44.7 million unique players on its launch day according to an announcement by game developer Epic Games on social media. This figure includes a peak of nearly 6.2 million simultaneous players. This current season, dubbed "Fortnite OG," allows players to explore the map from the original Fortnite Chapter and will only last for one month. The battle pass for this season consists of 50 tiers and updates will cause the map to change, imitating various seasons from Chapter 1.
