Playtonic Games, the developer, has announced the updated version called Yooka-Replaylee, which will feature a visual overhaul, new controls, a revised camera system, new challenges, and secrets. Originally released in 2017, Yooka-Laylee revived interest in the 3D platformer genre and garnered a 7/10 rating from IGN. The remaster incorporates feedback from the original release, enhancing the art, animations, performance, resolution, and in-game challenges, along with introducing new collectible currencies and a world map.

Yooka-Replaylee will also feature a fresh orchestral soundtrack by Grant Kirkhope and David Wise, adding to its appeal. Playtonic Games has utilized its growth and experience from other projects to refine this enhanced edition. Further details about Yooka-Replaylee are expected during a Q&A session on June 11.

Yooka-Replaylee will include a visual overhaul, improved animations, new controls, a revised camera system, new in-game challenges, new collectible currencies, a more detailed world map, and a new orchestral soundtrack. Playtonic has also incorporated various feedback from the original release to enhance the gameplay experience.

Yooka-Laylee, released in 2017, aims to capture the charm of classic 3D platformers like Banjo-Kazooie.
