WIZARDS OF THE COAST IN TALKS FOR BALDUR'S GATE 4 WITH DEVELOPERS

The gaming community is buzzing with the announcement that Wizards of the Coast, the company behind Dungeons & Dragons, is actively discussing the development of Baldur's Gate 4 with multiple developers. This comes despite the huge success of Baldur's Gate 3, developed by Larian Studios, which has decided not to proceed with the next installment. Eugene Evans from Wizards of the Coast expressed hopes that the wait for the upcoming title won't be as long as the 25 years between previous entries in the series.

While there's no confirmation on whether the new game will follow directly after Baldur's Gate 3, the third installment’s characters have become a part of the Dungeons & Dragons universe, suggesting the potential for their return.
