Witcher 4 Set to Begin Full Production 'Very Soon'

The next entry in the Witcher series, known under the codename Polaris, is set to enter full production shortly. CD Projekt's joint CEO Michał Nowakowski indicated that the development team has grown slightly and is now ready to progress to a more intensive production phase. Although there is still uncertainty about the release date, Polaris was initially expected to launch in 2025 at the earliest. Fans are eager to learn more about the game’s storyline, particularly as Geralt of Rivia’s voice actor confirmed that Geralt will make an appearance, albeit as a supporting character rather than the lead. A teaser image associated with the game hints at Ciri possibly taking up the role of the main protagonist, connecting her to a new magical school showcased in the image.

While details are limited, it is confirmed that Ciri will likely take a central role, suggesting she may become the protagonist. Additionally, Geralt will appear in a supporting capacity, which aligns with CD Projekt’s previous statements about concluding Geralt's story.
