The mobile game "Warcraft Rumble" is set to launch on the 3rd of November for iOS and Android platforms. This was announced by Blizzard, the team who first unveiled the free-to-play game in May last year under the name "Warcraft Arclight Rumble".
In "Warcraft Rumble", players are expected to strategically place troops on a battlefield. They have the option to select from a range of leaders originating from five factions within the Warcraft universe — Alliance, Horde, Beast, Blackrock, and Undead. The game's missions vary based on the map played and can range from large-scale battles to boss fights.
Players will have a collection of over sixty minis (characters) to choose from at the release, which can be deployed during fights. The gameplay includes both PvE and PvP skirmishes, co-op, raids, dungeons, and guilds.
The game's release coincides with Blizzcon, an event taking place on the 3rd and 4th of November in Anaheim Convention Center, California. For the first time since 2019, the event will host a live audience.
In related news, Chris Metzen, one of the original team members of "Warcraft: Orcs and Humans", was appointed the executive creative director of the Warcraft franchise last week. Metzen has also contributed his voice to a variety of characters in Blizzard games.
Lastly, it's been reported that ten roles within the Hearthstone team have been terminated. Yet, no further issues within the team have been noted.
