Valve has recently made Steam VR 2.0 update globally available. Having been in development since 2019, some SteamVR users received a beta version of the update last month, but now, the update has been released for all users. The update aims to align the Steam shopping experience in virtual reality with the regular Steam version. This will allow new Steam features to appear on SteamVR faster than ever before. Most missing features have now been added to SteamVR with the update, including native voice chat functions and easier access to chats and friends list. Additional features have also been added to the virtual keyboard, including emojis.
