Riot Games has released a new agent, Iso, for their team-based shooter game Valorant, as part of a major patch update 7.09. The significant patch also focuses on issues involving the balance of power between Sentinels, particularly Cypher and other agents on the roster. Riot intends to shift these interactions more to Cypher's favor by updating his Trapwire (C).
Other changes in agents include Skye, Fade, and Raze. These alterations serve to add more strategic depth and encourage enemy agents to be more intentional with their utility. Raze, in particular, will have to be more precise with her Paint Shells (E) to inflict damage, including destroying enemy traps.
In addition to agent updates, Riot has made alterations to weapons, with the Judge's identity as a hunker-down style shotgun being sharpened by reducing some of its effectiveness while moving. Changes have been made to player behavior and social updates as well, with an option added to mute the players you've just reported.
Patch 7.09 also includes improvements to features, game practice times, team recruitment, and match structures as part of the "Premier Updates". The threshold for playoff qualification has been lowered to 600 points to make times of absence more forgiving. Iso, as part of Valorant Episode 7 Act 3, has a unique set of gun skills allowing him to create bulletproof protection for himself.
