Mar 19, 2024 1:05 PM

Exciting news for city-building enthusiasts as Cities: Skylines II is set to introduce mod support starting with a beta phase on March 25. Developer Colossal Order and publisher Paradox Interactive announced the upcoming availability of Code and Map mods for players. However, Asset Modding will come at a later stage. Enthusiasts who are eager to modify their game can look forward to the first set of Editor Tools and Paradox Mods, a new platform for sharing mods with the Cities: Skylines II community. This move comes after an earlier apology by Colossal Order for the initial absence of mod support. Additionally, on the same day, the developers will release the Beach Properties Asset Pack, allowing players to enhance their cities with luxurious waterfront mansions, charming beach houses, and a new residential zoning option.

When will Cities: Skylines II mods become available?

Mods for Cities: Skylines II will become available starting with a beta phase on March 25, where players will have access to Code and Map mods.

Cities: Skylines, developed by Colossal Order, is a renowned city-building PC game that won over fans with its intricate and detailed approach to simulation and urban planning. This game gained a massive and active community largely because of its robust modding capabilities. Mods in such games allow players to customize and enhance their gameplay experiences with new features, assets, and gameplay tweaks. As a sequel, Cities: Skylines II aims to continue this legacy by providing an improved platform for both players and modders to showcase creativity and extend the longevity of the game.
