UPCOMING FIXES FOR FALLOUT 4'S BROKEN NEXT-GEN UPDATE

May 12, 2024 11:28 AM

Fallout 4's next-generation update has faced issues upon release, echoing the game's history of bugs and glitches. However, Bethesda Game Studios has announced an upcoming patch to address these problems. Scheduled for next Monday, the update aims to improve graphics, performance settings, and other aspects based on community feedback. Although it's not guaranteed to resolve all the update's issues, it offers hope to Fallout 4 players desiring a more stable experience, particularly for those using mods which were affected by the next-gen update.

The next-gen update's timing coincides with the debut of Amazon’s Fallout TV series, which has quickly become a hit on Prime Video. Despite the show's success, Bethesda did not release a new Fallout game or spin-off to capitalize on the moment, though the series’ director Todd Howard has indicated an interest in increasing the frequency of Fallout releases in the future. Nevertheless, fans might still need to wait, as The Elder Scrolls 6 is expected to launch before any new Fallout titles.

What can we expect from the upcoming Fallout 4 patch?

The upcoming patch for Fallout 4 promises new graphics and performance options, as well as various fixes and improvements to enhance the gameplay experience on next-gen consoles.

Fallout 4, released by Bethesda Game Studios in 2015, is an open-world RPG set in a post-apocalyptic world. It is renowned for its vast exploration, deep crafting system, and engaging narrative. While the game was celebrated for its depth and content, it also became notorious for its technical issues at launch. The promise of an updated experience on next-gen consoles has renewed interest in the title, especially among those looking to revisit the Commonwealth with improved graphics and performance. Fallout 4 continues to have a dedicated modding community, which strives to enhance and expand the game beyond its original scope.
