CD Projekt Red has plans to release update 2.01 for the video game, Cyberpunk 2077, aimed at resolving some issues that players are experiencing, as posted on its website.

One of the critical fixes the patch aims to offer involves resolving a problem with saved games on PlayStation 5, which has been causing some saved games to become corrupted. Unfortunately, the update will not be able to rectify already affected saved games. However, the patch will make it so this won't happen again in the future.

The upcoming update also seeks to boost the overall performance of the game across all platforms, particularly in Dogtown, a new area introduced in the Phantom Liberty expansion. It will also address numerous other bugs that have been reported by players.

Phantom Liberty, the recent expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, was made available for PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC. Now, CD Projekt Red is channeling efforts into the sequel for the game. Reviewer Harry Hol gave the expansion a high score of 9, praising the thrill of exploring the new area, Dogtown, and the engaging espionage storyline filled with meaningful choices, unexpected twists, and new characters. The expansion also features new skills in place of passive upgrades. According to Hol, even though the stealth component of the game could still use some work, Cyberpunk 2077 has finally come together to be greater than the sum of its parts and has now become an impressive role-playing game.
