Unlock Instant Access: Call of Duty's New UI Revealed

Oct 17, 2024 5:00 PM

Activision is launching a new user interface (UI) for Call of Duty on October 25, coinciding with the release of Black Ops 6. This redesigned UI aims to streamline access to games by introducing a Home tab with Game Tiles, allowing players to directly load into their selected titles without delays. The UI's initial launch phase starts from October 21, enabling players to engage with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Warzone before transitioning to Black Ops 6. Once Black Ops 6 is available, both it and Warzone will occupy primary spots on the Home tab. Additionally, players will benefit from a Last Played tile for quick access and a unified Store tab for purchasing and managing their game library.

nWhat features can players expect from the new Call of Duty UI?

Players can anticipate three main hubs: Home, All Games, and Store, along with a Last Played tile for quick access to recently played titles. The UI will evolve over time, providing a more efficient experience for accessing Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies modes in Black Ops 6, among other improvements.

Call of Duty has experienced significant evolution since the launch of Modern Warfare in 2019, alongside the introduction of Warzone, which expanded the franchise within the battle royale genre. As fans have voiced concerns over the complexity of the previous UI, Activision's latest effort is focused on enhancing player convenience and accessibility, addressing long-standing complaints in the community.
