UBISOFT PULLS PLUG ON XDEFIANT DEVELOPMENT

The decision, made due to the game's insufficient popularity and profitability in the competitive free-to-play FPS market, results in the loss of 277 jobs across Ubisoft's studios in San Francisco, Osaka, and Sydney. Players can no longer download the game or make in-game purchases, but servers will remain operational until June 3, 2025. The previously planned Season 3 will still be released, despite the game's cancellation.
