The trailer for the remake of the popular game "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic" has been pulled from Sony PlayStation's YouTube channel due to the expiration of the music rights in the trailer. This sparked rumors that the game's production might have been canceled. However, Sony confirmed that the trailer's removal was purely due to the expiration of the music license.

Aspyr Media, Lucasfilm Games, and Sony, the bodies involved in the game remake, haven't clarified why they let the music license expire. However, Sony indicated that it's common to take down a trailer if this happens.

The remake of "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic" – widely considered among the best Star Wars games ever created – was announced during the PlayStation Showcase in September 2021. Rumors were already swirling around the game's production, suggesting that Aspyr Media had been taken off the project and development had been paused. There was also speculation that Saber Interactive had been assigned to the project, as they previously assisted Aspyr. Currently, the game status remains uncertain.

Note: This game remake is console-exclusive for PlayStation 5.
