Tetris Forever Launches on Switch with Epic Tetris History

Tetris Forever has been announced for Nintendo Switch, celebrating the iconic game's 40th anniversary. This comprehensive collection features multiple Tetris titles from its history, including classic versions like the 1988 Famicom Tetris, Super Bombliss, and the newly developed Tetris Time Warp, which integrates various gameplay styles from different eras. Additionally, Tetris Forever will include documentary clips that delve into the game's evolution and its influential figures. The release is expected later this year, alongside the NES Tetris version and a Grand Prix event for Tetris 99 in winter 2024.

Tetris Forever includes a selection of historic Tetris games such as the 1988 Famicom version, Super Tetris 2 + Bombliss, and a brand new title called Tetris Time Warp, plus documentary clips exploring Tetris’ history.

Since its release in 1984, Tetris has remained a cornerstone of the gaming industry, known for its addictive block-stacking gameplay and simple yet challenging mechanics.
