Take-Two CEO Optimistic About Nintendo Switch 2's Future

Take-Two Interactive's CEO, Strauss Zelnick, expressed strong optimism regarding the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 during a recent investor Q&A. He noted that Nintendo's improved support for third-party publishers marks a positive shift. Take-Two plans to launch four titles for the new console, including Civilization 7 on June 5, alongside potential entries from the NBA 2K and WWE 2K series, and Borderlands 4 on September 12. Zelnick emphasized that while bringing games to new platforms is assessed individually, greater collaboration from Nintendo signals a hopeful future for third-party partnerships and releases on the Switch 2.

Take-Two will launch Civilization 7, Borderlands 4, and titles from the NBA 2K and WWE 2K series for the Nintendo Switch 2. Civilization 7 is set for release on launch day, June 5, 2025, while the exact dates for NBA 2K and WWE 2K titles are yet to be confirmed.

The Nintendo Switch, released in March 2017, has been hugely successful, integrating handheld and home console gaming. The anticipated Switch 2 aims to build on this success with upgraded technology and software support, enhancing the gaming experience.
