Subnautica 2 has been officially announced and is set to release in 2025 for PC and Xbox Series X and S as part of the Xbox Game Preview program. Notably, it will also be available on Game Pass from day one. This new installment will transport players to a new planet with unique environments, flora, and fauna to explore. Another exciting feature is the introduction of co-op gameplay, allowing up to four players to join the adventure. The developers, Unknown Worlds, have assured fans that the game will remain single-player friendly without any season or battle passes, addressing previous concerns. The last entry in the series, Subnautica: Below Zero, was well received, earning a nine out of ten review score.

What new features can we expect in Subnautica 2?

Subnautica 2 will introduce a new planet to explore, co-op gameplay for up to four players, and a variety of new environments and creatures, while keeping the exploration and adventure elements that fans love.

Subnautica, developed by Unknown Worlds, first launched in Early Access in 2014 and was fully released in 2018. It became famous for its immersive underwater exploration and survival gameplay. The sequel, Subnautica: Below Zero, expanded on the story and introduced new features, enhancing the original's beloved formula.
