Gamers can look forward to gameplay modifiers affecting elements like space combat difficulty and carrying capacity, with settings ranging from easy to an all-new extreme difficulty mode. Quality of life improvements haven't been overlooked either. Respec options for New Game +, appearance change functionality, performance tweaks, particularly for the Xbox Series X with a choice between performance and visuals mode, and a batch of bug fixes are part of the package. Moreover, a teaser from Bethesda hints at upcoming content including a land vehicle, more quests, and the large Shattered Space expansion. The beta creation toolkit is also in community creators’ hands, suggesting incoming user-generated content.

What new difficulty options are available in Starfield's latest update?

The latest update introduces several difficulty modifiers, which players can adjust for various gameplay aspects like space combat. These include easy, normal, hard, and a brand new extreme difficulty mode offering players the chance to increase challenge and earn additional XP bonuses.

Starfield, developed by Bethesda Game Studios, is a testament to the studio's stellar reputation for crafting vast, immersive RPGs. Their pedigree includes creating the critically acclaimed Elder Scrolls and Fallout series. Starfield continues this tradition, giving players the chance to explore an extensive universe filled with planets, space stations, and various factions.
