Sep 26, 2024 10:14 AM

Microsoft has announced that StarCraft: Remastered and StarCraft 2: Campaign Collection will be available on Game Pass starting November 5, 2024. This addition comes following Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard and aims to bolster Game Pass offerings with the classic real-time strategy titles from Blizzard. While the multiplayer aspects of the original StarCraft and StarCraft 2 are free to play, players with a Game Pass or Game Pass Ultimate subscription will gain access to enhanced single-player experiences and modern features.

StarCraft: Remastered revitalizes the iconic 1998 original, featuring ultra-high-definition graphics and re-recorded audio while maintaining the core gameplay. In contrast, the StarCraft 2: Campaign Collection encompasses all single-player campaigns, with over 70 individual missions allowing players to dive deep into the franchise's rich lore through characters like Raynor and Kerrigan.

What can I expect from StarCraft: Remastered on Game Pass?

StarCraft: Remastered on Game Pass provides enhanced visuals, modernized gameplay, and accessibility features that elevate the classic experience for both new players and returning fans. You can enjoy the nostalgia of the original game with contemporary upgrades while diving into the extensive single-player content of StarCraft 2.

StarCraft, a cornerstone in real-time strategy gaming, has influenced countless titles since its release. The game introduced players to its rich sci-fi universe and competitive multiplayer gameplay, setting the stage for both casual and professional gaming for years. The ongoing popularity of StarCraft has cultivated a dedicated community, ensuring its legacy among gaming enthusiasts.
