Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld Launches Early in Fortnite

Apr 29, 2025 9:48 PM

Epic Games has announced an exciting collaboration with Disney, bringing the animated series Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld to Fortnite before its Disney+ premiere. The first two episodes, featuring Asajj Ventress, will be available on May 2 through the Star Wars Watch Party island in Fortnite. Players can connect their Epic Games and MyDisney accounts for a chance to earn an exclusive First Order Stormtrooper outfit. This initiative is part of Fortnite's new Galactic Battle season, which aims to deliver more Star Wars-themed content. To enhance the experience, players will also enjoy a Battle Arena where they can engage in lightsaber battles until the Watch Party island closes on May 11. This collaboration marks a significant step in the future of interactive storytelling in gaming.

What is Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld about?

Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld is a six-episode animated series set in the style of The Clone Wars, focusing on Asajj Ventress and Cad Bane as they navigate new alliances and confront their pasts.

Released in 2017, Fortnite has become one of the most popular battle royale games in history. Its ability to integrate various pop culture franchises, including Star Wars and Marvel, has contributed to its sustained popularity. The recent acquisition of a $1.5 billion stake in Epic Games by Disney indicates long-term collaboration prospects, promising even more content in the future.
