"Star Wars Hunters" by Lucasfilms Delayed Again

Nov 09, 2023 1:15 PM

Star Wars Hunters, a PvP shooter game reminiscent of Overwatch by Zynga for Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android, is now slated for a 2024 release. Zynga announced the delay on Twitter but didn't provide a specific date within that year. The game was originally planned to launch in 2021 and was later postponed to 2023, and yet again, it faces another delay.

Zynga explained that the delay is to achieve the "highest level of quality" for the game. Despite not having launched globally, Star Wars Hunters is currently available in a soft launch format in certain regions. Zynga expressed gratitude for the feedback from these soft launch markets and reassured fans that delivering a superior experience remains a priority.

The game was first made public in February 2021, with initial trailers showcasing various characters. Beyond announcements of delays, major updates from Zynga have been minimal.
