According to a Quantic Dream employee, the much-anticipated game Star Wars Eclipse is still under development, but it is not yet ready for public release. This information was provided by Lisa Pendse, the Vice President of Marketing at Quantic Dream, in a conversation with IGN, following rumors of a potential 2026 release.
The game, announced in 2021, has faced delays reportedly due to challenges in recruiting new staff, toxic work culture allegations, and the vast scale of the game itself.
Details about the game's release date and supported platforms remain unclear, but it is known to be a narrative Star Wars game set in the High Republic era. In the game, players will embody different characters, with their choices influencing the state of the Outer Rim in the universe.
While not much else is known about Star Wars Eclipse, leaked information suggests a key character being Sarah, an athletic woman from a humanoid race. This race leads the Zaraan empire, known for its political and military aggression, with little difference between men and women, aside from the marital bond forming a cooperative ruling entity.
The relationship between Sarah, who strongly believes in the empire's violence and oppression, and her softer partner Xendo, is said to play a significant role in the game.
The gaming community is eagerly awaiting more official updates about the game's development and eventual release.
