The much-anticipated survival horror game, Alone in the Dark, has experienced another release delay – fans will now have to wait until March 20, 2024, for its launch. Initially planned for an October 2023 release before being postponed to January 2024, the additional delay is a measure by THQ Nordic and Pieces Interactive to avoid the holiday rush and eliminate crunch time stress for the development team. The studios aim to deliver a product that not only meets but exceeds player expectations, promising that the wait will be worthwhile.

Alone in the Dark is being developed as a reimagining of the genre-defining classic, featuring Hollywood talents such as David Harbour and Jodie Comer in starring roles. The game involves exploring eerie environments, facing monstrous entities, solving intricate puzzles, and unraveling the dark secrets of Derceto Manor. For those eager to get a glimpse of the terror, a standalone Prologue is already available on Steam. The game is targeted to release on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5 platforms.

The reboot of Alone in the Dark is set to enhance the experience with a deeply engaging story penned by Mikael Hedberg, innovative monster designs by Guillermo del Toro's collaborator Guy Davis, and chilling music by composer Jason Kohnen.
