The game originally released in December 2020 to a disastrous reception, but over the years, it received significant updates and patches. The most prominent updates were the game-changing Update 2.0 and its only expansion, "Phantom Liberty", released in September 2023. Recently, the final team of 17 developers has moved on to other projects, and the studio is now focused on the sequel codenamed Orion and upcoming Witcher titles.

No, CD Projekt Red has officially ceased all development work on Cyberpunk 2077 and is shifting its focus to future projects.

Cyberpunk 2077's launch was highly anticipated but marred by numerous bugs and performance issues, leading to widespread criticism. The game's most substantial updates, including Update 2.0 and "Phantom Liberty" expansion, aimed to enhance gameplay mechanics, introduce a new perk system, and improve AI.
