Ryan Reynolds has shared an image of Dogpool, suggesting the character will appear in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie "Deadpool 3." He also indicated the film is aiming for a summer 2024 release. This announcement comes in the wake of the recently concluded actors' strike which had cast some uncertainty on the film's production schedule. "Deadpool 3" director Shawn Levy expressed relief over the end of the strike, revealing they've already completed filming half of the movie.

Dogpool is a canine version of Deadpool from an alternate universe and is part of the Deadpool Corps in the comics. As for "Deadpool 3," it promises to stay true to the franchise's R-rated roots and will feature Hugh Jackman reprising his iconic role as Wolverine. For the first time, Jackman will don the classic yellow and blue Wolverine suit from the comics, generating excitement among fans.

The film, distributed by Marvel Entertainment, is rated R and will be released in theaters.
