Capcom announced that the Resident Evil video game series has globally sold over 150 million copies. This information was released during Capcom's first fiscal half-year report, which concluded on September 30. During this period, a total of approximately 22.6 million games have been sold. The company emphasized the robust sales of digital editions of games.
The most-sold Capcom game in the past half-year has been Street Fighter 6, with about 2.47 million copies sold since its release in June. The Resident Evil 4 Remake sold about 1.66 million copies in this period, bringing the total up to around 5.45 million. Accordingly, the game released in July, Expoprimal, sold around 940,000 copies.
Capcom expressed their expectations for increased revenue in this fiscal year compared to the last. If this expectation is met, it would mark the 11th consecutive year of growth for the company.
