Replaced Delayed Again: Now Slated for 2025 Release

The highly anticipated cyberpunk sidescroller, Replaced, has officially been delayed for a second time, now slated for a 2025 release. Developer Sad Cat Studios revealed that the initial target was overly optimistic and emphasized the unique challenges in creating the game. To meet the high community standards and expectations, additional development time is necessary. Despite the delay, Replaced will be featured at Gamescom, along with upcoming special announcements.

Replaced is now expected to be released in 2025 following its delay from 2024.

Replaced was first revealed at E3 2021 as a 2.5D cyberpunk pixel-art game. Players assume the role of an AI trapped in a human body, navigating a gritty cyberpunk landscape filled with fast-paced combat and stunning visuals. Originally set to launch in 2022, Replaced has faced multiple delays as the developers strive to meet high expectations from the community and ensure a quality experience on Xbox Game Pass and PC.
