Red Dead Redemption PC Port May Be Coming Soon: PlayStation Store Hints

Aug 13, 2024 9:20 AM

Red Dead Redemption's eagerly anticipated PC port seems to be on the horizon as the PlayStation Store briefly posted that the classic game is now available on PC. Although this statement is inaccurate since the game is only on consoles, the unexpected update hints at possible behind-the-scenes work by Rockstar Games. This coincides with a datamine from May 2024 that also suggested a PC release is in the works. The PlayStation Store description touted enhanced features like higher resolutions, increased framerates, and support for multi-monitor setups, as well as including the beloved Undead Nightmare expansion. While multiplayer content is absent in this port, it is unlikely to deter fans, especially as they celebrate the game's 15th anniversary.

When will Red Dead Redemption be available on PC?

While no official release date has been confirmed, the recent indications from the PlayStation Store suggest that the PC port may be imminent; keep an eye out for more updates from Rockstar Games.

Originally launched in 2010, Red Dead Redemption quickly became a beloved classic, renowned for its compelling storytelling, immersive open world, and engaging gameplay mechanics. The game's massive success led to its sequel, Red Dead Redemption 2, which further solidified the franchise's legacy in gaming history. With the long wait for a PC port, fans are hopeful to experience the game's epic western adventures with enhanced graphics and performance soon.
