Apr 15, 2024 12:46 PM

The classic action-adventure game Ratchet & Clank, which originally released in 2016, has received a new update eight years after its initial launch. Insomniac Games has unveiled a previously exclusive pre-order bonus weapon called The Bouncer for all players to enjoy. This weapon shoots out large grenades that burst into smaller bombs, adding a dynamic edge to the combat experience. Additionally, after a previous update in 2021, the game can be enjoyed in 60 frames per second on the PlayStation 5, ensuring a smooth gameplay experience for new and returning players.

Is the new update for Ratchet & Clank available on all platforms?

The update with The Bouncer weapon is available for the PlayStation 5 version of Ratchet & Clank, which also allows the game to be played at 60 FPS since the last update.

Ratchet & Clank is a storied franchise developed by Insomniac Games, known for its engaging blend of platforming and shooting mechanics. The 2016 release is a remake of the original game that debuted on the PlayStation 2 in 2002. The series is acclaimed for its humor, inventive weapons, and dynamic duo of characters. With this new content addition, long-time fans and new players alike have a reason to revisit this modern classic. As the franchise continues to grow, with sequels like Rift Apart building upon its legacy, this update serves as a reminder of the enduring appeal of Ratchet & Clank's unique gaming experience.
